Reflection: There was that one time when I went through the wrong door during a church service and accidentally found myself in the choir. I’m sure we’ve all been there right? You follow the crowd, and sure, it seems a bit weird that the entry is at the front of the church, but you figure these people know what they are doing. And you file in, sit down, only to find yourself looking at the choirmaster with his hands raised and a worried look on his face. Now a normal
person at this juncture would realise their mistake and politely remove themselves form the situation. But for some reason my fear and anxiety keep my feet planted firmly on the ground, forcing me to mime the following choral repertoire amidst questioning glances and general confusion. Anxiety can by crippling, but gratefully, knowing God loves my feeble heart brings me consolation and joy.
Question: Are you handing your anxiety over to God, and finding joy in his consolation?
Prayer: May I find comfort in
your wings until the storm has passed, Lord; may I run to you when anxiety threatens. Amen.
