Our Resurrection
12Now, since our message is that Christ has been raised from death, how can some of you say that the dead will not be raised to life? 13If that is true, it means that Christ was not raised; 14and if Christ has not been raised from death, then we have nothing to preach and you have nothing to believe.
Reflection: The resurrection is the heart of our Christian faith. If it didn’t happen, our faith is useless. But it did happen. Christ has been raised, and as he was raised, so we too shall be raised to eternal life when he returns to claim us. It’s a big hope that we have, one that transcends the daily joys and trials we endure, and one that lifts our eyes to the heavenly realities that await us.
Question: Do you truly believe that Christ was raised from
the dead?
Prayer: God of Heaven, thank you that Christ was raised from the dead and that I too await my final resurrection. Please keep my eyes fixed on that day. Amen.
We have been reading the Bible with Tess Delbridge. Tomorrow we begin a new series, Follow: Experiencing Life with Jesus, with Graeme Anderson.
