What is the best thing we could possibly help someone with in this life?

My grandparents left me an example of Christian living. I still remember singing hymns every night around the dinner table. And even in Grandad’s retirement, he would take us to visit other farms in the country to invite people to church and hand out free Scriptures.

However, many of us don’t have good role models in our lives. A top priority for all of us should be to look to Christ as our ultimate role model. Additionally, having a humble attitude towards Godly mentors can be beneficial. Mentoring or discipling others in our family or church involves guiding them towards Scripture, being a good listener, and asking meaningful questions to inspire the fire of God in their hearts. Teaching should be a two-way street, with both parties holding each other accountable.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, please continue to convict me of the need to cover my family and unchurched friends in prayer and serve them as a Christian. I pray that, through your power and strength, they will see in me a reflection of Jesus, and how he works through me. Help us to ‘see to it’ that our brothers and sisters are encouraged and living righteous lives. Amen.
