Reflection:

The other day my daughter asked me to make headbands with her. What this entails is her picking out materials, designing the headband and I cut and sew it together. It’s a partnership and she loves the process. She also takes all the credit. After a headband is completed she says, “look at what I created”, even though most of the grunt work is done by me.  

How much am I like that with God? Any skills and talents I have, I attribute them to me having mad skills, instead of praising God for gifting me. Any success I have is simply because of my association with Jesus. He deserves all the praise and glory and yet, he choses to use a wretch like me to represent him.  

When was the last time you thanked God for the gifts and talents he has given you?

Our Heavenly Father,  please help us to use whatever gift we have received from you, to serve one another and to bring glory to you.  Amen.
