Reflection:  His heart ‘meditated and his spirit asked’ – he cries out to God, asking ‘Why?’, but only after meditating – thinking about it. He fires questions to God: ‘Will God reject forever?’ ‘Has His unfailing love vanished forever, Has God forgotten to be merciful?’

Has God forgotten us? Will he show us his love? And worst of all, has he forgotten to be compassionate and merciful? As we will see in tomorrow’s devotion, what the circumstance feels like for the writer, and what is true, are different. His questions are our questions…

Prayer:  Thank you Father for your unfailing love, your mercy and compassion, and for all your promises. Please help us when we lose sight of you.
