Reflection:
Come into God’s presence and be still. Be silent. Focus on God’s love… and wait. Wait for the “divine chemistry.” Let your posture be humility, the emotion love, and the language silence. Then see where God will take you.
And to encourage you; here is some wisdom passed on by faithful people who knew God, over a span of some 3,000 years. As such, it is wisdom that deserves respect. Here it is:
Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes (Psalm 37:7).
Do not fret when evil seems to flourish all around you. To do that is simply to empower the evil even more. No. Rather be still before the Lord… and wait.
When the Psalmist did that, he gained a proper understanding, perspective, and crucially hope. (Check it out in Psalm 73.)
Prayer: My Dear Lord Jesus, forgive my busyness, a busyness that gives me the illusion of importance. Invite me to that still place where my heart can look at yours… and be renewed.
