Reflection: Wednesday: Betrayed
Have you ever been betrayed? It’s so hurtful, so personal. When it happened to me, I couldn’t understand …‘Why?’ I still get tempted to play the speculation game, but that just leaves me in a tangled web of unanswered bitterness and anger.
We never get a definitive ‘why’ from Judas, but his actions (along with the chief priests), stand in stark contrast to the woman’s anointing act of worship.
Who do you identify with in the story?
Prayer: Jesus, teach me to forgive those who have betrayed me, because I know you’ve done the same for me. Amen.
**Tomorrow as we reflect on the Last Supper you might like to practically participate in the meal. If so, have a cup and bread handy.**
