German theologian Karl Barth said, “Take your Bible and take your newspaper, and read both. But interpret newspapers from your Bible.” Don’t be distracted by the reference to old media; Barth’s concept is to interpret your context through the lens of the Bible rather than acting as if the two do not connect at all. In this series we will explore what it looks like to see our everyday lives through the eyes of God and the Bible. We will follow Jesus in this process, taking a wander through the Gospel of Luke, watching how he engages with ordinary life.
