Reflection: Children are a heritage
In today’s devotion, the Scriptures show us how much God loves and cares for children.
In this passage in Matthew, Jesus shows us his love for children and how we should nurture them. The Scriptures are clear that children are a heritage from God (Psalm 127:3), a gift and blessing to us. They should be taught about the love of God at all times to strengthen them in their faith, knowledge and understanding of God.
We should never undervalue the ministry of children in our churches, schools and homes.
We should teach them the attributes of God, teaching them to love, pray and build up their faith and Christian foundation.
Children have a special place in God’s kingdom; but if we also portray ourselves as children, showing a godly attitude of humility, love, patience and more, we will also experience the kingdom of God.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, we ask that you help us teach children your word. Give us strength to be humble and caring at all times, in Jesus’ name.
