Series Introduction: For the next seven days we will be reading the Bible with Agnes from Bible Society of The Gambia, Bible Society Australia’s mission partner. In this series, we will explore the profound love of God for humanity as we read and reflect on Scripture which highlights God’s sacrificial love. The selected Scriptures also emphasise the importance of nurturing children in the love of God, recognising them as a heritage and blessing. Be encouraged to trust in God’s love and cast aside fear, explore the power of faith and prayer, and be challenged to become true disciples. Join us on this journey to deepen your understanding of God’s unending love and how it shapes our lives.
Reflection: God was able to love us to the point of giving us his life, because he is Love. His love is the greatest thing anybody can experience; it doesn’t matter if you are an adult or a child.
Because of God’s love for us, he sent his Son so that we might be saved, and not be condemned. No matter what ethnicity you are from, whether you are rich or poor, young or old, God still loves you.
The Bible says that in order to receive eternal life in God we need to believe in his Son, Jesus. This love that God has given us needs to be reciprocated by receiving Jesus Christ in our hearts and confessing his lordship to experience more of God’s love, joy and peace in our lives.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for loving us by dying for our sins to save us. We pray that many will hear this word and receive you in their hearts. Help us to love you at all times, in Jesus’ name.
