Reflection:
“He’s here!
Everything was ready
the moment God had been waiting for was here.
At last God was coming to help His people,
just as He promised in the beginning. But
how would He come?
What would He be like? What would He do?
Mountains would have bowed down, seas
would have roared, trees would have
clapped their hands.
But the Earth held its breath. As
silent as snow falling, He came in. And
when no one was looking, in the darkness
He came.”

The Jesus Storybook Bible, (based on Luke 1-2)
Today we celebrate the birth of Jesus with food, gift-giving and connection. Whatever your day holds, may you find rest and peace in his presence. I pray that his light would Illuminate the present moment for you, the NOW and all that we have because of Christ’s birth, death and resurrection.
Merry Christmas.
Prayer:
Jesus, you knew the suffering that lay before you and still you came. For us, for me. We celebrate your arrival with joy! How wonderful it is to hear songs and hymns about you outside of the church, in our communities, shopping centres and carols concerts! We pray for unity like this to increase until the day when we all sing your praises as one.
