Reflection: Guest list – Who’s missing?*

Jesus was often found around tables eating with such a diverse group of people: fisherman, tax collectors, women with questionable backgrounds!

Jesus’ table reflected those he was seeking to serve.  Their voices mattered.  Like a potluck meal, they all brought something invaluable.

I wonder sometimes what amazing opportunities we miss out on when we don’t hear the voices of everyone at the meal table.

How closely does your ministry team or board — your ‘guest list’ — align with those your mission seeks to serve?

Prayer: Jesus, may our boards and ministries be a glimpse of your Kingdom through its diversity and its unity.
