Reflection:Â Do all things
Much of the drudgery in our work comes from the mistaken belief that we are working for others, for money or for survival, and that our work and our ministry are separate.
If we only believed that we are working for God and that almost anything can be done for the glory of God.
If we believed this truth, our work would become holy, redeemed and noble.
Our work, ministry, family, church would all flow in and out of one another, dissolving from a list of rigid priorities to a living, moving equilibrium.
As we redeem our work, both at home and in paid and volunteer environments, to what God had always intended it to be – service to him – it becomes worship. How might that change your daily outlook?
Prayer:Â Â Glorious God, thank you that my work is for you. Help me to work at it with all my heart, in the knowledge that each minute of my day I am serving my Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
