Reflection: Our God is faithful, always. This passage offers us a glimpse of the breadth and depth of God’s love for us – no one is too far gone, too broken or too difficult for him to scoop up and restore. In whatever state you are in, you are valued, loved and cherished.
In our busyness, it can be easy to forget that God longs for us to come to him both in good times and bad. I love this picture of God walking peacefully beside us, leading us along the safe path. He shows us which way to turn and where the solid ground is. And ultimately, he will lead us all the way home to Heaven.
He doesn’t give up on us; he doesn’t stop walking beside us; and his paths are perfect. Our God is faithful always.
Question: Do you trust God to lead you? What does it mean to you be a disciple of Jesus?
Prayer: Father, we are broken and imperfect creatures. But you are mighty, able and willing to make us whole. Please give me a heart that turns to you. Redouble my trust in you and your faithfulness. Amen.
