Reflection:

Jesus says loud and clear that purity is deep. To be pure in heart is to be one of those who love God through and through, and live for him with integrity and no duplicity. To be pure requires our hearts to reject evil, to draw near to God and to live with actions that match. With hearts no longer enslaved by money, prejudice, power, ego or jealousy, the pure in heart are devoted to God and have a singularity of vision. Get your life in focus with God and what he is doing in the world, and Jesus promises ‘they will see God’.

How can you stay focused on God and what he is doing today?

Prayer:

Father, you desire that all people would draw near to you with their lips, their hearts, their worship and their actions.

Make me pure in heart, help me to be integrated, to see what you are doing in me and the world and to live in a way that matches you and your Kingdom.

I long to see you.
