Reflection
“But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Saviour; my God will hear me.” Micah 7:7 (NIVUK)
What are you waiting for? What is your great hope?
In the midst of God’s judgement and destruction, the prophet Micah clings to the Lord, watching and waiting for him to act. He knows the one in whom he hopes in. He is a God who will judge, who will make things right. But he is also a God who forgives and delights in showing mercy to his people.
So, Micah cries out to the Lord, knowing that he is the God who hears and listens to his people.
How can you actively watch and wait for the Lord?
Prayer
Father God, thank you that you are the God who hears our cries. Please help me to cry out to you and wait for your salvation. Amen.
