Reflection
So often our heads can be very busy, with so many cares and concerns turning over and over in our minds. We can be quick to trying to sort things out ourselves, and only then turning to the Lord in prayer to ask for his help.
Here we are reminded to come to the Lord first, bringing all our anxieties to him. To be thankful, for there is always so much to be thankful for. And the promise is that his peace, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
What makes you anxious? How can you instead turn that to prayer?
Prayer
Father God, I am thankful or all you do. I bring my prayers and requests to you, handing over all the things I feel anxious about. Please give me your peace and guard my heart and mind. Amen.
