Reflection:
The key to understanding Jesus’ fellowship with the Father is in just two words: “with me”. The Father could be in fellowship with Jesus, in a way that he could not be with any other, because Jesus was perfect and always does “the things that are pleasing to him”.
And now, as children cleansed by the blood of Christ, God is ‘with us’ too.
If God is with Jesus, then who can be against him? If God is with you, then who can be against you?
Prayer:
Father, thank you that you are with us, like you were with Jesus. Help us take comfort in your fellowship and presence. Amen.
