Reflection: I often have half an idea. You know, the beginning of a concept or a half a plan.
The other day one of my half-baked ideas turned into something magical, because it wasn’t about me. In a meeting I voiced the beginnings of an idea – it was weak and incomplete – but I voiced it anyway. Then my friend added some wisdom to the idea. And another friend added creativity and clarity, and before we knew it, we were sitting back smugly admiring our genius. But really, we knew, it was a God moment. God had spoken through the group and created something we could not create for ourselves.
He’s clever like that, I’ve noticed. Weaving his purposes through our relationships. Giving us the gift of needing each other.
And how amazing is it the almighty creator of the universe is with us when we gather in his name!
So, let’s gather! Let’s gather in his name and know that he leads us.
Let’s know each other, let’s live in the fullness of life that God intends.
Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for being with us as we gather, teach us to listen to you.
