You are real, not perfect. But our world is full of pressure to hide our flaws and present a perfect image. It’s exhausting!
God doesn’t ask us to be perfect or remove all weakness. He asks us to bring him our weaknesses so that his power can work through us. Grace is so much more than just forgiveness. It is empowering.
Anxiety has often been an issue for me. I used to try to hide it. Now I share openly because it is an area where I can point to Christ’s power at work. That ‘weakness’ has become a source of encouraging others.
Let’s foster a community where we share vulnerably about our struggles and give space for others to do the same. We don’t stay in a place of being a victim but showing how God is at work. His grace is there to strengthen you.
Question
What weakness can you take to God today? Who can you talk to about how you see him at work in that area?
Prayer
Thank you for the freedom from perfectionism you bring, Jesus. I offer up my weakness for your power to shine through. Amen.
