Reflection: God’s Delight

“Brood over me, Father, Son, and Spirit. Forgive, refresh and delight in me.” Author’s paraphrase of Psalm 139:23

The more face-to-face the psalmist comes with God—rehearsing his character, his purposes, ways and means—the more nested he is in him. Perhaps the more rested, peaceful and confident is his song.

Laid bare.

Unmasked.

Open book.

Brought to light.

Exposed; disclosed.

No ifs ands or buts.

No holds barred.*

You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.

Search me, God.

Brood over me, Father, Son, and Spirit.

Forgive, refresh and delight in me.
