Reflections: Time to Soar
To finish this devotional series, I want to encourage you to soar like an eagle. The slimy pit, the mud that we faced in Day 1 is gone, you’re bounding at new heights, with your arms raised and your mouth full of joyful shouts and songs! Now don’t stop there, because God wants to renew your strength. The pit and the mud can make you tired and overwhelmed; it takes your energy. But as you hope in God, he will renew your strength, give you back your energy, and restore your joy. You will feel your feet lifting from the ground as you begin to soar. Never again to grow weary or to faint but to be renewed in your strength. Never again to find yourselves in the pit or mud but soaring above the hurt, pain, issues and problems, surefooted on the mountains with him!
Questions: How does this promise of renewal and strength encourage you today?
Prayers: Those who hope in you, Lord, will renew their strength and You will lift them up on wings as eagles. Thank you, God, that I won’t be walking in the mud and mess, but I will be soaring, my strength renewed, praising with shouts of joy into all You have for me.
